Since my wife and I walked through sleet and snow to go see a concert last night (Bill Callahan at Lincoln Center), I thought a little warmth might be nice to get us into the weekend (and a couple of days closer to an upcoming trip to the Bahamas this month). This is Siesta Key beach near Sarasota, FL, which in addition to being my favorite beach in my native state, is also regularly listed as one of the top 5 beaches in the entire U.S.
I found this beach yoga class early one morning, late last year while on assignment for
Golf Digest in Longboat Key (I've done multiple shoots there over the years, including a very memorable one for
Runner's World). Just FYI, there is no photoshop trickery happening here... the sand is really that white, as well as incredibly soft (completely the opposite of the crap beaches near Miami). Siesta Key is included in the
new travel section that I've added to my recently updated portfolio website (I've stripped it down and made it even faster to zip through!)
